In this session we will discuss:
. Short overview of how many prisons. males/females
. The judiciary system (slow trials, etc…) / penal code (death penalty, etc). Rehabilitation initiatives and what NGOs were able to achieve (close up on Catharsis NGO work)
. Current status of prisons as a consequence to the country crisis
. Important laws: reduction of sentences / drugs draft laws / mentally ill offenders…
. Our relation as residents/citizens in the country to the topic
. Discussion and Q&A

Speaker's Bio

Zeina Daccache is an MA Clinical Psychology, Registered Drama Therapist (NADTA), Board Certified Trainer (NADTA), Founder of Catharsis- Lebanese Center for Drama Therapy.
Zeina is a Lebanese actress, theatre and film director and drama therapist.
She worked for the TV as an actress from 2003 to 2015. She is the founder and Executive Director of Catharsis - Lebanese Center for Drama Therapy and works as drama therapist in different settings (prisons, rehabilitation centers, etc.). Her work amended several laws in
Lebanon. She is recipient of many awards given for her distinguished contributions to the field of social initiatives and services.
