Speaker Bio

Tarek Zebian

Director of Research and Communication,

Capital Markets Authority

President of the LSE Lebanon Alumni Association

Priorto his appointment as Director of Research and Communications at the Capital Markets Authority in March 2014, Mr. Zebian has previously worked with Banque Du Liban, and as a research analyst with Barclays Capital in London, UK.

He is the co-founder of the ‘National Civil Society Parliament Liaison Unit', a project focused on providing more space for advocacy work and communication enhancement between the Parliament and Lebanese CSOs. Mr. Zebian is co-founder of ‘Moneera’, a non-profit company that aims to promote renewable energy and waste recycling.

Mr.Zebian holds an MSc from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a BA in Business Administration from the American University of Beirut (AUB).Mr. Zebian is an awardee of the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum order of merit in 2008 and currently serves as the President of the London School of Economics Alumni in Lebanon.
