About the Speaker

Dr Rana Nicolas has a PhD in physics and nanotechnology. She is currently an assistant professor of Physics at the Lebanese American University, and an AI and computer vision Advisor at Cognitro.ai.

She was a participant and a finalist in "the Astronaut" TV show  produced by Dubai TV in 2019, where she had the chance to undergo different challenges and training in the Russian space agency and NASA.

She is also the founder of the "she talks science" initiative, which aims at encouraging young school girls  to pursue careers in Science and engineering.
