About the Trainer

Marina Chamma is a Beirut-based political economist, writer and blogger on eyeontheeast.org. Having started her university studies at Sophia University in Tokyo, she graduated from the American University of Beirut with a B.A. in Political Science and obtained a M.Sc. in International Political Economy from the London School of Economics. As a freelance writer, her non-fiction work has featured in a variety of print and online portals, including Your Middle East, The Descrier, NOW Lebanon, LSE Middle East Center Blog, An Nahar, Mainichi Daily News and Lacuna Magazine.

More recently, as her writing is mainly dedicated to fiction, Marina's first book "And So We Drive On: Short Stories" was published in July 2020. The book is available in Lebanon at Libraire Antoine (all branches), Aaliya’s Books (Gemmayze) and Thinkers (Zahle), as well as across the world on AntoineOnline.com and Lebzone.com.
