Our lifestyles and businesses have changed radically in the last year since the COVID-19 outbreak and add to it the financial challenges and political instability. We are all adapting to the new emerging patterns in various industries. This crisis forced us to re-think the way we do things, sometimes, trying to find innovative ideas, hoping we will get to normal again. But what if we don't? What would be the future of HORECA (Hotels, Restaurants, Catering, Events) and Travel industries?

Raised in an environment of film lovers and among people who had a passion for food, Mario Jr. Haddad blends his expertise in the cinema industry with a love for culinary art and a flair for both storytelling and creating unique experiences. Aside from managing the film distribution end of his family legacy – Empire – he is responsible for some of the most successful F&B concepts in Lebanon, namely: Le Sushi Bar; Mario e Mario; Mariolino; and Al Falamanki.
- Neda Farah - Eventions / Vinifest / Byblos en Blanc et Rosé
Neda is a pharmacist who shifted her career to the world of events, Mainly Wine Festivals.CEO of Eventions who created the well known VINIFEST - Wine Festival, Byblos en Blanc et Rosé and many other events abroad in Europe and USA.
- Sami Tueni - Ihjoz / Naharnet / Fawter
Sami is a serial entrepreneur. MBA graduate from ESSEC Business School (2004) after a BBA specialised in Entrepreneurship from the American University of Beirut (2002).
He worked in Paris as an innovation consultant for FABERNOVEL, a French innovation-consulting firm. An “entrepreneur for hire”, he developed many services, projects and products for major French and global companies including Orange, Vodafone (SFR), Bouygues Telecom, Google, RATP, and Transdev.
After returning to Lebanon in 2008 to revamp Naharnet.com, Sami founded and launched ihjoz.com in 2013 to become one of the leading event ticketing platforms and marketplace in the region. In 2019, ihjoz became the leading cashless event operator in the region providing wallets and contactless experiences for festivals, fairs and venues.
In 2021, the ihjoz team launched Fawter.com, an all purpose digital invoicing platform allowing merchants to invoice customers and get paid online, offline and in-person. Fawter leverages ihjoz's infrastructure and experience in managing payments and cash flow between customers and merchants.
- Sebastian Kracun - Bossa Nova Beirut Hotel / ALMA Restaurant
Sebastian started out as a scientist before entering the hospitality industry and becoming the Managing Partner of Bossa Nova Hotel in Beirut. After gaining a PhD in Molecular Neuroscience from University College London, he worked for three years as a post-doctoral researcher at the University of California in Los Angeles. Family ties brought him to Lebanon in 2011 where, along with his Lebanese wife, he project managed the construction, set-up and running of a 46-room, four-star hotel – Bossa Nova Beirut and its associated Latin-American themed restaurant, ALMA. The hotel opened its doors to the public beginning 2019. Along the way Sebastian also co-owned a bar in Beirut’s Gemmayze district gaining further insights into the F&B world. As a proud Scot and chairman of the Caledonian Society of Lebanon, he organises an annual Burns Night in Lebanon, a celebration to honour Robert Burns, Scotland’s national poet.
- Sylvain Mattias - Air France
Sylvain has been an actor of the airline industry for the last 14 years. Joined Air France KLM just after graduation from EM Lyon Business School. Worked in different positions: from pricing to network planning followed by Sales and more recently having regional commercial responsibilities. From France, the Netherlands, the US, China and now Lebanon Sylvain has been able to grasp the challenges and opportunities of the global airline industry. Since July 2019 Sylvain and his wife have settled in beautiful Beirut.

Randa Farah is the founder of I Have Learned Academy & Lebtivity.com as well as a University Instructor at USJ.
Randa has an extensive track record in HR Management and Recruitment across multinationals in various industries. Her practical expertise is supported by her degrees in HR Management, Organizational Psychology & Business Advertising and Marketing. Her specialization is Happiness at Work, Stress and Wellness at work. In addition to being a corporate trainer, Randa has been an instructor at USJ for over 10 years in HR Management & Organizational Psychology Courses for Master students. Randa is an international speaker, sharing her passion for HR, Happiness at Work & Soft Skills at conferences & trainings across Europe, The Gulf and the Middle East.
She is also the founder of Lebtivity.com, calendar for events, keeping Lebanon updated about all types of cultural, sports, artistic, culinary, events in Lebanon.
