About the Speaker

Dr. Rola Husni Samaha received her medical doctor degree from AUB. Then she specialized in Infectious Diseases at the Cleveland Clinics in Ohio. Later, she did her subspecialty in Infections in Cancer Patients at MDAnderdon Cancer Center in Houston. She worked there for two years and came back to Lebanon to practice in several hospitals. She joint LAU and soon became a professor at the School of Medicine and the Chief of Infectious Diseases division in the department of Internal Medicine. She is also the Head of Infection Control at LAUMC-RH. She is a prior president of the Lebanese Society of Infectious Diseases and is very active academically in her field. She has many publications in her field in peer reviewed journal and is a known speaker in the region. Dr. Husni main aim to serve her patients and community with absolute dedication to her career.
