Wellbeing in Uncertain Times - Free Online Session With Saradar Bank powered by I Have Learned Academy
I Have Learned Academy & Saradar Bank launched a series of online sessions to offer the audience 2 free educational talks every month.
Please note that registration is free and mandatory. Limited places available.
We are facing challenging times full of uncertainty in Lebanon and worldwide. As individuals, teams and organizations, we are increasingly susceptible to mental ill-health, as well as less likely to prioritize suitable mental healthcare and support.
While COVID-19 presents as one of the greatest moments of global uncertainty in recent history, Lebanon has been in a state of political crisis for decades and last year’s catastrophic blast at the Port of Beirut triggered an unprecedented situation that changed our lives in ways we could not have imagined.
Through this workshop, participants can expect to gain a more confident ability to:
- identify some key facts and considerations concerning the current situation from a local and global perspective.
- identify the specific challenges faced by individuals, teams and organizations during times of great uncertainty.
- recognize the various ways individuals experience and react to times of great uncertainty, including health anxiety, how it develops, and what sustains it within individuals and organizations.
- identify and explore significant stressors.
- apply some strategies to promote psychological flexibility in response to uncertainty and anxiety, including emotional acceptance (in relation to ‘locus of control’) and mindfulness.
establish some healthy behaviors that are backed by evidence to improve mental, physical and overall health and wellbeing.
apply some strategies to maintain a positive work culture during uncertainty, including reconnecting to personal and organizational values (placing wellbeing at the heart of these), promoting cultural awareness and sensitivity during global challenges, especially those related to COVID-19, and maintaining meaningful connections where there is a disparate workforce.
